Scrambled eggs

That one annoying moment when you're hungry and you head into your kitchen only to find out that you have nothing else to cook or, as in my case, heading into the dining room only to find the leftovers on the table and you don't want to eat them because you already had the same meals last night. It's a problem for me because I have no vast skills in cooking and I rarely cook, though I can't deny loving cooking somehow. I don't have any idea how to deal with the herbs and spices and I don't want to cook something complicated (that's why I buy packs of pasta with instant sauce). Well there are times when I really have to cook something because buying meals from the outside means another spending for the month. It's actually not a really good idea to buy meals from the outside while there's only ten bucks remaining in your account.

I've come up with the idea of cooking scramble eggs since two months ago. It was another boring morning and I woke up late, only to find nothing on the dining table so I really had to either cook or buy something to eat. I hadn't withdrawn any money and I had only little cash with me. Moreover, buying meals from the outside wasn't a really good idea so I headed into the kitchen and found some eggs in the refrigerator and there was that Aha! moment with Aha! voice whispering me to cook scramble eggs. The problem was I didn't know the recipe but thanks to Google, I finally had the recipe and started cooking.

If you go to Google and search for a perfect recipe of scrambled eggs, you'll get tons of result that you could choose. I went to this and learnt how to make a perfect scrambled eggs for my breakfast. It turned out pretty good and I liked it. Now, whenever I feel hungry and I have only little cash with me, I'll just head into my kitchen and cook scrambled eggs.

I've modified the recipe anyway because--well you have to know that--I don't like full cream milk, well I mean, vanilla-flavored milk. I only like chocolate milk and don't ask me the reason why because this might sound weird but any other milk flavors beside chocolate taste so weird for me. Is it just me who thinks that way or..?

My recipe for scrambled eggs goes like this:
- 1 large egg (because 2 large eggs would be too much for me)
- 3 tbsp cream
- a knob of butter
- a pinch of salt
- half tsp sugar
- a pinch of garlic powder

Basically the steps are just the same as those you could find in websites: whisk the eggs, cream, a pinch of salt together. Add sugar and garlic powder and whisk again until all the ingredients are mixed well. By the way, I use cream powder--like the one you have for coffee or chocolate. Add 3 tsp of cream to 3 tbsp of hot water and stir it well. You can pour the cream to the eggs mixture afterwards. Why adding garlic powder? Hey, dude! Spice your life up!

Done with the mixture? Now heat a small frying pan for a minute and melt the butter. Pour the egg mixture and let it sit for 20 seconds. You can stir and lift the mixture (well basically you scramble it, lightly) and then let it sit again and stir and lift again. When you have the perfect color and texture, it means that your scrambled eggs are ready to serve. I eat my scramble eggs with rice and add a pinch of pepper to make it spicy. It'd be a bit different when you don't add cream or milk into the mixture. When you add cream or milk, the texture would be softer and the color would remain yellow (at least the bright-yellow-ness won't just go away.. which means happiness *LOL*)

I've tried adding mixed herbs into the mixture and it tastes so Italian. I could taste oregano and basil in every bite, though the texture became a bit different but it wasn't bad. I enjoyed my meal.

So, why can't you just try making scramble eggs for your meal today?
