My friend Pritania and I finally finished our last assignment for Comparative Literature course and of course, that was something that we gotta celebrate. Unfortunately Pritania could not come with me to campus to submit the assignment so after submitting the assignment I had nothing to do but wandering alone. Yes, alone but I didn't feel lonely (he he he).
The submission of my final assignment marked the beginning of my holiday (though it wouldn't be really holiday since I'd be busy for the next two months). I suddenly made a promise for myself that I had to have some fun today. I decided to have lunch since it was lunchtime and I started to look for a place where I had never visited before. I checked a note saved in my iPad containing list of places-to-go and I found Traffic (TRAFFIC: Coffee-Beer-Kitchen) in my list. Taking a cab, I went there and, thank God, the traffic was not so hectic. The first impression I could get from Traffic is its interior design. From the outside I could not really see how it was inside. As I walked in, I was impressed by its interior design. Retro-style slate gray couches and armchairs compliment well wooden tables, as well as wooden benches and wooden lunch tables. The walls expose its brick construction, though some parts are covered with wood paneling. Gray concrete is used as floor covering, creating rustic and industrial ambiance (and as for me it reminded me of American lofts). There are some visual arts on the well and they are somewhat eye-catching.

The atmosphere was quiet and I felt good since there were no many visitors so I could enjoy it--what people call as 'serenity'. They played some nice Top40 music and the waiters were very friendly (I even promised one of the waiter to come back he he). They offer selection of beer which, I think, would impress koh Izi (I'll take him there once he comes back from Singapore). Ordering iced Kahlua latte and shoestring fries platter, I really enjoyed my light meal--my lunch. Traffic has good internet access (though sometimes I lost the connection yet my device automatically re-connected to the internet afterwards) and visitors could use it for free. It was quite fast that I bet I could download some albums on iTunes for the next visit. Speaking of the price, I had thought the price would be so expensive. As I read the menu book, I realized that I was wrong. Food and drinks are quite affordable. It was my first visit and I didn't make any complaints which is good. I can come back again later :)
As I had promised myself that I had to have some fun, I called my friend Ayu and we met at campus before we went to the historical promenade Braga street. We visited a horror-themed café called Zombie Café. The visit was actually Ayu's challenge on me since she thought of me being scared but the fact was, the zombies didn't scare me (though for the first time they looked so grotesque). Stormy rain came and I couldn't enjoy my meal since lightning and thunder really bothered me (honestly, I'm a person with astraphobia). We were sitting next to the window so, yeah, we could see furious lightning bolt and.. it scared me so much!
As the theme of the café is zombie, I couldn't expect for light dining hall with Rococo-styled dining chairs and tables. The room is painted black and there are some zombies here and there (but don't worry, they're all fake). The café has some gothic chandeliers hanging on the ceiling (which I love them so much). Unfortunately I didn't take many photos there since I was busy dealing with my fear of lightning and thunder.

Zombie Café wasn't the last destination for today's hangout. We visited Braga Citywalk and to my surprise, I saw an extensive stage with a grand piano. I performed some songs since the stage manager allowed me to play it.
I felt happy today and I thanked Ayu for watching my piano performance (and I apologized since I made her go home late). Well, the most important thing is I fulfilled my promise and I had fun. I mean, my friend and I had fun and.. good food and drinks (he he).
