Congratulation, Giovanni and Doni!

I still can't believe it. When I heard about it, I was surprised, thinking that my dad was just joking--but he wasn't. The wedding invitation came, and the party was on August 10. I was like "Really?" but I ended up leaving for Tangerang on Saturday morning, stayed at nearby hotel for one night, and attended your wedding party on Sunday morning, watching you and now-is-your husband sitting there saying that holy promise to love each other in good times and bad times. Now I'm home and I can't believe it happened--that I received your wedding invitation and attended it, and shook your and your spouse's hands wishing you two a happy marriage life. I can't believe time has flown so fast. Well, it has, don't you think?

Do you remember back then we fought a lot over silly things--kids' play, puppets, and Lego bricks? It was about fifteen years ago, when we were six. People say kids fight a lot, but they make up easily. So did we. As we grew older, we didn't fight as often as we had done before. Do you remember the time your parents left for Europe and you and Hansen stayed at grandma's house for two weeks? I went to visit you two and ended up staying with you two, spending time playing games like Bishi Bashi or watching Hansen playing GTA Vice City everyday that we both remembered the song played on the radio in the game. I also remembered when we were so excited to play Bishi Bashi that we broke your PlayStation controller--the X button didn't work.

Do you remember back then when I moved to Bandung and you visited me in my new home, you asked me whether or not I got Friendster? I said "Well, try to find it around this house"; the fact is I didn't know what Friendster was. I hadn't been into using social network so that was why I said like that. But we ended up finding each other's profile or Friendster and chatted on Y!, and this afternoon I added you on Path in hope that we can keep in touch though now you're a wife and will be busy living a new life as kak Doni's spouse.

Do you remember back then I asked you what color your hair was--whether or not it was burgundy? You said it was maple red and I replied "The color didn't really fit your complexion". I was so stupid to say such thing since I didn't know anything about hair color and complexion--I knew nothing about trends. The fact is you looked amazing with your maple red hair, though darker shade of red would fit you better (IMO). But stay the same--the way you are right now. That's the best thing you can do.

Do you remember that we've lost contact for years, seeing each other only at annual family gathering (or when you visited me in Bandung)? I wish I could find you on Facebook and I did; the problem is just that you added my old Facebook profile, and when I added you on Facebook using my new profile, you didn't confirm the request (well you haven't). We've lost contact for years that every time we met, we got nothing to say to each other. There'd be no topic for conversation, resulting on awkwardness between us. When you came to me asking where could you plug your charger to charge your phone battery at my home, all I could do was pointing at nearby socket and said "There". The awkwardness has made us apart.

Don't you--don't we--remember that back then we played PlayStation together, just like how cousins should play together?

Today is August 10 and neng Vani is no longer a little girl. You've become a wife for your husband. Time flies so fast. It has flown so fast don't you think? Giovanni Anggasta, a cousin of mine, my childhood friend, and the one who fought a lot with me over silly things, has stepped into a higher level of life.

So I officially congratulate you two for your marriage. Live a happy life, love each other, and be 'home' for each other, for you know home is where you love and are loved, when there is warmness in your heart. When you have a bunch of things on your to-do list, just remember to thick this thing on your list.

[✔] Marry the one I love

or, let's make it perky..
  • Marry the one I love: NAILED IT!

Okay, I must have talked too much and you--if you read this post--would be surprise that your cousin would be this talkative on his blog.

At last, live a happy life. You only live once. Love your life.. and your husband :)
